James Travis Lamont Cooper born in Bethesda Maryland grew up in Norfolk, Virginia and Washington D.C. ( DA District)He started off as a
computer geek mainly studying robotic design ,but soon fell head over heels with performing .Beginning as a stage hand in the Rosemont
Middle School Drama Club James quick showed technical abilities by creating on stage effects and very complex set design for a middle school
drama club .After middle school James returned to his studies with robotic and entered NASA's NORSTAR program when he was asked to
audition for the Norfolk Public School Performing Arts Repertory .Appearing in numerous role James soon caught the eye of many local
theater companies. James along with some of the most talented people in the area at the end of their final year at Lake Taylor High School
stepped into professional theaters auditioning and winning roles as featured technicians, actors,singers and dancers at Virginia Stage Company
, Founders Inn Dinner Theater, Jumpin' Jack Touring Company,Juneteenth Festival Company, Busch Gardens and Disney .Now an
accomplished puppeteer James can be found in Norfolk, Virginia teaching puppet workshops and performing with Hampton ,Va based
company Rainbow Puppet Productions .In addition he still refines and conditions in Afro-Brizilian Martial Art of Capoeira and Theater with
theaters and touring projects across the country.
